Repeat prescriptions may be requested in writing using the slips provided at the surgery or ordering online.
Repeat prescriptions will be processed at the doctors' discretion and are normally for patients on long-term treatment.
Please note that we do not take repeat prescription requests over the telephone.
For repeat prescriptions which are to be collected from the surgery, we will endeavour to turn requests around within 48 hours (excluding weekends and local/bank holidays).
Prescriptions may be sent and returned by post if a stamped addressed envelope is provided. In this case please allow at least a week.
The local chemist will also arrange a collection service for prescriptions. This can be arranged through the chemist.
If you have an online account you can order your repeat prescriptions online via the link at the top of this page. Please speak to our reception staff for more information on setting up an online account which can also be used for booking appointments and viewing a summary of your medical record information and, if approved, your detailed coded record.
Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip.
Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.

The Electronic Prescription Service (EPS) gives you the chance to change how your GP sends your prescription to the pharmacy you choose to get your medicines from. You will not have to visit the surgery to pick up your paper prescription. Instead, it will be sent electronically to the pharmacy you choose. You will be able to choose any pharmacy close to where you live or work, reducing waiting times for your repeat prescription. Please ask your pharmacist or collect an application form from the surgery.

Extensive exemption and remission arrangements protect those likely to have difficulty in paying charges (NHS prescription and dental charges, optical and hospital travel costs). The NHS prescription charge is a flat-rate amount which successive Governments have thought it reasonable to charge for those who can afford to pay for their medicines. Prescription prepayment certificates (PPCs) offer real savings for people who need extensive medication.
